Christian Initiation Adapted for Children
(OCIA adapted for Children)
A catechumen is an unbaptized learner or disciple. The catechumenate adapted for Children is a process of catechesis for children ages 7-17 exploring their faith in the Catholic tradition. Through lectionary based instruction and facilitated discussions, the children are introduced to the concepts of Catholic liturgy, doctrie, traditions and beliefs at age appropriate levels. As they prepare to receive the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist) the children are supported by their families, sponsors and member of the faith community. This page gives a general description.
At the bottom of that page you will find a "Let's Get Started" button to provide some information and set-up an appointment with Dr. David Wood, Director.
