Brotherhood of St. Basil

Description

The Brotherhood of St. Basil is for Fathers and Sons in 4th-8th grade. At our monthly meetings you can expect to have fun, compete, and eat a great dinner while learning about the catholic moral and spiritual life. Each month we teach about a different virtue and prayer practice. Fathers and sons are given a daily prayer book to help reinforce the prayer practice for the month at home. Our hope is to give Fathers the tools they need to lead their sons to heaven.

Vision

A parish culture where fathers and sons (natural and spiritual) encourage each other to develop a masculine spiritual life.

Goals

To encourage:

• Daily prayer by teaching traditional Catholic spiritual practices
• Virtue through the inspiration of the saints
• Sacramental vision by experiencing and teaching about the Sacraments
• Knowledge of Christ through praying with the scriptures
• Deeper relationships between fathers and sons
