The committee chair is responsible for giving a short and concise committee update at the Ladies Club General Meetings every other month.
It is the committee chair's responsibility to contact any new members that are interested in being on their committee.
The SVDP Yahoo e-mail list may only be used for SVDP Ladies Club sponsored events (we understand that sometimes something comes up, if so the e-mail must be approved by the officers).
It is your committees' responsibility to write bulletin announcements for events sponsored by your committee and to send a copy of those announcements to the Communications Committee and copy the President.
No committee can take on the responsibility of an existing Ministry currently active in the Parish without written request to the President who will bring before the officer's and will clear with Fr. that the ministry may/can be incorporated into the Ladies Club.
Each committee needs to decide what event or events they will be sponsoring in the upcoming year by the March meeting. These events will be discussed at the committee chairs meeting in March.
All service, social and spiritual activities supported by SVDP Ladies Club must be approved first by the appropriate committee.
Approval by a committee means that the majority of the responding members agree to support such an event. All members of the committee need to be made aware via e-mail or phone calls.
If an activity being presented by a committee will involve the general membership's (not just their committee) manpower or monetary support, then the committee chair must bring the event before the membership for approval prior to sponsoring the event.
Once approved by the committee and the general membership, it then must be given to the Vice President and placed on the Ladies Club Calendar.
Direct all calendar requests to the Vice President (give her at least 2 possible dates). Requests should be made 2-3 months before an activity.
